Holy Cow State Farm to increase Homeowner insurance by 31% in Texas !!

I dont know how this is not getting more press... but according to this article from the Houston Chronicle, State Farm is raising rates home insurance rates in Texas by 31% !!!!!! Now as most of you know, State Farm Insurance inures more Texas homeowners than any other company.  They insure almost one out of every five Texas homeowner policies. In conjunction with the 31% rate increase , State Farm (acccording to the article ) "In a bit of awkward timing, State Farm Lloyds insurance company announced plans Friday to hike homeowners insurance policies in Texas by 20 percent just as a criminal inquiry into the company's conduct in settling some claims following Hurricane Ike came to light."
