insurance companies offer the good student discount for student drivers. This discount is applied when a student submits a report card displaying a 3.0 or higher G.P.A to the carrier. So for parents of Mckinney honor students, this is a great way to save money on high student premiums. As long as the student maintains the G.P.A, the discount will remain in place.
For parents whose children attend university near Grapevine, Keller, Dallas or Plano or any of the cities in the Dallas-Fort-Worth area, as well as any other university there is another discount in place if the student lives away from home, and doesn’t have regular access to a car. It’s called the resident student discount, and is in place to offer a discount for new college students who will only be driving their cars on breaks or when at home.
